A World Bad Enough To Hide In Escapism, But Not Bad Enough To Not Have Kids?

Why Create Humans To Exist In A World You Distract Yourself From?

Humans numb and distract themselves from the pain of who they are, what they have been through, and the world at large by seeking distractions, often in excess. Distractions include media, cell phones, sports fandom, vacations, sex, overeating, substance use, consumerism, religion, social networking and much more.

Drug usage and other potentially destructive behaviors are used widely to help people cope with their past and present life; often in excess, creating dependency and addiction that results in life-altering harm and suffering for themselves and others. If the world is so intolerable that we are reliant on distractions and substances to cope with existence, then how can we justify forcing new, unsuspecting, and vulnerable life to suffer along with us?
